Natural and Applied Sciences

The primary aims of college of Natural and Applied Sciences are to provide high quality instruction in the Sciences, and to prepare students by inculcating in them, scientific principles and their applications to the needs of the society.The College seeks to effectively encourage creative endeavor in our academic staff as well as in our students so that the quality of teaching will reflect in the performance of the students.The graduates of this College will be fitted for jobs in academics, medicine, food production, processing and storage, pharmaceuticals, breweries, Biotechnology, remediation of polluted environment and leadership positions in industries and government. Thus the graduates of this college will provide the scientific and technological manpower that is essential for the development and growth of the Nigerian nation. The College of Natural and Applied Sciences offers Bachelors’ Degree Programmes in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry and Computer Science.

To qualify for Admission into this College, the candidate must have five (5) O' level credits in WAEC or NECO which should include English language, Mathemetics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and must have written and passed JAMB examinations to enable him or her participate in the Post-JAMB examinations. The college also admits candidates with OND and A-level for direct entry programmes.

In the first year all the students enrolled in the College will take basic courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics The College has five (5) Departments:
